This detailed Woodcut and linocut collage depicts a Common Sandpiper, a small wading bird, flying over Widdop reservoir, a remote body of water up in the South Pennines of Yorkshire. Sandpipers fly very fast and low over the water making a rapid piping call. You can also see them searching for food at the waters edge.
An original relief print collage by Angie Rogers, hand printed with oil based ink, the water printed from a block of wood and the bird from a block of lino both carefully carved by the artist.
The image is supported on off white, acid free printing paper.
Additional colour is applied by hand using lightfast pigment.
Limited edition of 50 prints, each print is numbered and signed.
A completely hand made artwork with natural variations in printing and hand colouring.

The print is unframed and unmounted.
